Yet many gamers don't want just an homage, so what has your team done to transcend that? You start your first mission, and you're already asked "Would you like a sniper or would you like an assault rifle?" just like the first game. So after the first hands-on session with the preview build, I became less worried that Human Revolution wouldn't live up to the Deus Ex name, so much so that HR plays as much as an homage as much as it is a sequel.
